The Magic of Strait Surf Cabins…
Spend some time at this special location and you’ll get why “Magic” is the most succinct, one-word description for the beach at Low Point. The fresh water from the nearby Lyre River meets the salt water of the Strait of Juan de Fuca creating one of the rare surf breaks on the North Olympic Peninsula and the resulting scene is just… magic.
No need for electronic distractions here, as the constantly changing scenery offers sights and sounds to soothe the soul. Watch the eagles, herons, seals, and otters live in abundance in the foreground. Gaze up a few degrees and watch surfers find their joy on the waves. Tilt just higher and watch the ocean-going ships delivering goods to and from faraway places. And finally look beyond to the shores of our Canadian neighbors and wonder if they are silently enjoying the scenes as we are. So often does the scene change with the tides, the weather and bustling wildlife that no one moment is the same – A natural cinematic masterpiece that serves as the perfect antidote for our distracted lives. A special place that allows us to reshuffle our thoughts, perspectives and priorities. It’s Magic.

Meet your Hosts
Hi we’re Michael and Molly McAleer!
We purchased the first of the cabins on Low Point Road just west of Joyce, WA as a family getaway. We enjoyed the cabin and peaceful surroundings so much, we asked ourselves “how can we share this slice of heaven with others?” When another home on Low Point Road came available, we knew it was our chance to share this amazing destination. We’re pleased to welcome YOU to the beach!
Our Environmental Commitment
We strive to work in concert with nature by using sustainable materials that maintain their strength and integrity. Cabins feature new and energy efficient appliances. The landscaping features native plants and compostable materials produced on-site, including the practice of vermiculture. The benefits result in 2 year-round community gardens featuring healthy greens and vegetables, which guests are welcome to enjoy. Our concerns for the health of the community and planet are reflected in every decision we make. Book a stay, and join us in creating long-lasting memories while preserving the beauty of our Washington coast!
